Obituary: Robert “Bob” Hasal

Robert “Bob” William Hasal, age 77 of Rhinelander, died Sunday, July 16, 2018, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield. He was born March 25, 1941, in New York, N.Y. to Walter and Eleanor (Pospisil) Hasal. He joined the Navy upon his high school graduation, serving as a submariner until his honorable discharge in 1968.

Bob is survived by his wife Kay; sisters, Corrine Main of Honesdale, Pa., Marie (Bill) Ramsden of Chocowinity, N.C.; mother-in-law, Clarice Winquist; brothers-in-law, Ron (Dawn) Winquist of Rhinelander, David Bowers of Palm Court, Fla.; sister-in-law, Jo-Ann Winquist of Rhinelander; many nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Adrienne Bowers; his father-in-law, George Winquist; brothers-in-law, Robert Main and Richard Winquist; and his nephew, Keith Winquist.

A memorial service for Bob will be held Thursday, July 19, at 11 a.m., with visitation from 9-11 a.m., all at the Carlson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials are being established in Bob’s name for Oneida County Animal Shelter or Wild Instincts. (Carlson Funeral Home)
