Funding allows more improvements at Hodag Beach
STAR JOURNAL REPORT
Visitors taking advantage of the cool waters of Hodag Beach will notice some improvements this summer. A grant from the Rhinelander Community Foundation has allowed the Rhinelander Parks Department to install new ropes and buoys in the swimming area at the beach.
“The new roping extends the swimming area out significantly and adds to the safety since the roping and buoys are brighter and there is no longer a concern about kids cutting themselves on broken buoys,” said Parks, Building and Grounds Director Jeremy Biolo.
Biolo noted an increase in beach usage, which he credits to the improvements that include new docks installed in 2017, also made possible by funding from the RCF.
