Takes over after Steffen’s resignation

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

Lauren Sackett

The Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee has announced that chamber event and program coordinator Lauren Sackett has been named Executive Director at the chamber. Lauren was promoted following Maggie Steffen’s resignation last week.

“Lauren has a true passion for the chamber and this community,” Chamber Board president Linda Krebsbach stated in a press release. Sackett started with the chamber as the Visitor Center coordinator in 2014 and was promoted to the event and program coordinator in 2015, and has experienced the “joys and challenges first hand” that have been presented in the last several years. Sackett said she looks forward to being a part of the next chapter at the chamber.

Sackett is a Rhinelander native and Rhinelander High School graduate. She and her husband David live in Rhinelander with their two sons. She also volunteers at WXPR as an on-air host.
