The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect from a June 10 assault in the town of Pelican.

Initial information given to officers was that a male subject entered into a residence at night and physically and sexually assaulted an elderly female occupant.

Chief Deputy Dan Hess said the woman has been unable to provide a description of the suspect.

Officers are working to identify a suspect, but are also asking anyone who has information related to this crime to contact the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
