STAR JOURNAL REPORT

The Small Town Quilters group will host its annual quilt display at the United Methodist Church in Mercer Wednesday, July 11.

This event is held in conjunction with the United Methodist Church’s salad buffet. Nearly 100 intricate quilts made by area quilters will be draped over pews and hung on the walls. Those in attendance can vote for their favorite. Special exhibits include quilts donated to Seasons of Life Hospice and vintage family quilts.

Gift baskets will be raffled and craft and quilt items will be for sale. Quilts are on display 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The salad luncheon will take place 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Small Town Quilters is an informal local quilt group that meets the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Methodist Church in Mercer. New members are always welcome. Pictured are some of the quilts that will be on display.
