Flag retirement ceremony June 14

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

The VFW Post 3143 in Rhinelander is holding an American flag retirement ceremony on Flag Day, June 14 in the city gravel pit on Oneida Avenue. Worn flags are being accepted at the VFW, 120 Park St., until June 13; flags can also be brought to the ceremony.

A brief ceremony will take place at 6 p.m., followed by the burning of more than 500 flags.
