Memorial Day ceremonies announced

The annual Memorial Ceremony at Union Grove Cemetery’s Veteran Memorial takes place at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 26. The memorial is located on Lakewood Road in Harshaw. Lunch will follow at the town Hall.

The ceremony is sponsored jointly by Union Grove Veterans Memorial Committee and Veterans Ceremony-Union Grove Cemetery, Inc.

The Oneida County Veterans Council invites all citizens to join them Monday, May 28, to pause, remember and honor fallen military heroes. Following is the schedule for cemetery ceremonies:

8 a.m. VFW Honor Guard at Newbold Cemetery
8:30 a.m. AmVets/American Legion Honor Guard at Northland Memorial Park
9 a.m. VFW Honor Guard at Forest Home Cemetery
9 a.m. AmVets/American Legion Honor Guard at Nativity of Our Lord Cemetery

The main ceremony will be held at 11 a.m., at the Rhinelander High School auditorium, 665 Coolidge Avenue, Rhinelander. For more information, contact the Oneida County Veterans Service Office at 715-369-6127.
