Joel A. Ohman, age 75 of Rhinelander, died April 26, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Sturgeon Bay, to Emil (Gene) and Evelyn (Nelson) Ohman.

Joel is survived by his wife Susanne; children, Jay (Nancy), Jeffrey (Jeri), and Shelly (Ohman) Pettit; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his brother, Duaine Ohman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Ronald Ohman.

A celebration of life was held May 5 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rhinelander; interment will take place at Blossomberg Cemetery in Fish Creek at a later date. Donations made in remembrance of Joel will be donated to local charities.
