New Pizza Ranch to feature latest design

BY EILEEN PERSIKE
EDITOR

Piles of dirt and heavy machinery on Eisenhower Parkway are a welcome sight for Cory and Bill Hoffman. After a couple of years of planning and anticipation, construction has begun on the Rhinelander couple’s new Pizza Ranch restaurant. The foundation is in, and Cory said they are working toward a projected opening of the second week in September.

The Rhinelander City Council approved the site plan last October, for the building that will be located just south of Kwik Trip, with which the restaurant will share a driveway. The Hoffman’s had hoped to begin the process sooner, but “things happen,” Cory said, adding that there is a good reason for some of the delay.

“We will be the first restaurant built from the ground up with the new ‘lean’ design, and there have been some changes in that,” Cory said. “Same food, new design, better, more efficient traffic flow.”

The restaurant will include a meeting room to accommodate up to 40 people. Hoffman expects to employ roughly 50 people when the restaurant opens.
