Barbara Ann (Owens) Rustad, age 79 of Rhinelander, died March 9, 2018, in Rhinelander. She was born July 27, 1938, in Milwaukee to Alma (Palmer) and Thomas Owens.

Barb is survived by her husband, Elden “Buzzy” Rustad; daughters, Shelbra (Joseph Kennedy) Rustad and Lora Rustad; sons, Eric Rustad and Troy (Jayme) Rustad, 13 grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Owens, Michael (Barbara) Owens and Jeffrey (Sue) Owens; other family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Charles Bacon, sisters-in-law, Elenore Wohlfarth, Erleen (Mac) Skinner, Erna Larson, Jean Owens and one step-great-grandson, Caleb Kennedy.

A funeral service will be held March 14 at noon, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the noon service, all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Forest Home Cemetery. (Carlson Funeral Home)
