Nicolet College BPA students take top state honors

Five Nicolet College students took top honors at the recent Business Professionals of America State Competition held in Wausau.
The students include Leslie Hogue, Lisa Schmidt, Angela Platek, Christine Wilberding and Jasmine Pugh.
In all, the students brought home a dozen honors, ranging from first to fourth place.
Advancing to the National Leadership Conference competition in Dallas, Texas, in May will be Wilberding, Platek and Pugh.
Specific awards:
Christine Wilberding: First place, Fundamental Word Processing; second place, Basic Office Systems and Procedures.
Angela Platek: Second place, Fundamental Word Processing; second place, Administrative Support Concepts and fourth place, Basic Office Systems and Procedures.
Jasmine Pugh: Third place, Fundamental Word Processing; first place Fundamental Desktop Publishing; first place, Integrated Office Applications and fourth place Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications.
Lisa Schmidt: Fourth place, Intermediate Word Processing
Leslie Hogue: First place, Fundamentals of Web Design and fourth place, Computer Programming Concepts.
