The Rhinelander High School gymnastics team has won the Great Northern Conference Small Division title after placing first at Saturday’s conference meet in Wisconsin Rapids.

RHS placed first in two of the four individual events at the conference meet with junior Raven Sturtevant winning on the balance beam (8.225) and senior Stephanie Kuester topping the floor exercise (8.0).

Kuester, who placed second in the all-around competition (31.025), added two runner-up finishes on the uneven bars (8.1) and in vaulting (8.3). Sturtevant, who placed third in the all-around competition (30.9), also came in fourth on the uneven bars (7.275).

Two RHS freshmen placed sixth in an individual event with Autumn Shafer on the uneven bars (6.925) and Lilli Bishop in the floor exercise (7.625).

Up next for the Hodags is Thursday’s WIAA Division 2 Sectional at Antigo.
