Obituary: Gary “Swede” Swenson
Gary “Swede” Robert Swenson, age 64 of Rhinelander, died Feb. 10, 2018. He was born Jan. 29, 1954, in Moultrie, Ga., to Veo and Louise (Britton) Swenson.
He is survived by his mother, of Minot, N.D.; three children, Rachel (Matthew) Berby of Rhinelander, Amanda Swenson of Lake in the Hills, Ill., and Joseph Swenson (Jami Ives) of Rhinelander; his loving companion, Mary Straus of Rhinelander; two grandchildren; one brother, Gregory Swenson (Karen) of Minot, N.D.
Gary was preceded in death by his father.
A remembrance service for Gary will be held at 6 p.m. on Feb. 16, at the Carlson Funeral Home with Rev. Gregory Laska officiating. Visitation with the family will take place from 4 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
