GIRLS BASKETBALL: Hodags hammer Hatchets in 2nd half

RHS 8-2 in GNC

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

After leading by only two points at halftime Tuesday night, the Rhinelander High School varsity girls basketball team ended up winning its Great Northern Conference game at Tomahawk, 58-37.

The Hodags had two players score in double figures led by Kenedy Van Zile with a game-high 23 points and Ally Seefeldt tallying 20 more points.

Sierra Graeber led the Hatchets with 11 points.

The win improved RHS’s season record to 8-2 in the GNC and 11-9 overall going into Friday’s home conference game against Medford.

Hatchets              19           18 – 37

Hodags: Kenedy Van Zile 23, Ally Seefeldt 20, Alayna Franson 1, Marissa Martin 2, Rebecca Lawrence 4, Maddie Meyer 4, Ericka Jorgensen 4. 3-pointers: Van Zile. Free throws: 17-22. Fouls: 15.
