GIRLS HOCKEY: Northern Edge seeded No. 6 in sectional

Rhinelander/Antigo co-op to face Xavier co-op

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

The Northern Edge girls hockey team has received the No. 6 seed in its sectional and will open WIAA tournament play against the No. 3-seeded Xavier co-op Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tri-County Ice Arena in the Fox Valley.

The winner advances to the sectional semifinal Feb. 20 to face the winner between the No. 2-seeded D.C. Everest co-op and No. 7-seeded Medford.

The other half of the sectional includes the top-seeded Marshfield co-op, which will host the other sectional semifinal game Feb. 20 against the winner between the No. 4-seeded Lakeland/Tomahawk co-op and No. 5-seeded Northland Pines.

The sectional championship game is set for Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. at the Greenheck Field House in Weston.
