GIRLS BASKETBALL: Hodags edge Medford, 51-50

RHS improves to 4-1 in the GNC

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

After trailing by a point at halftime Tuesday, the Rhinelander High School varsity girls basketball team pulled out a 51-50 Great Northern Conference victory at Medford.

The Hodags had only one player end up scoring in double figures with Kenedy Van Zile tallying a game-high 24 points.

The win improved RHS’s season record to 4-1 in the GNC and 7-5 overall going into Friday’s home conference game against Antigo.

Hodags: Kenedy Van Zile 24, Ally Seefeldt 6, Brooke Mork 7, Molly Wagler 8, Maddie Meyer 6. 3-pointers: Van Zile 2. Free throws: 11-21. Fouls: 16.
