David (Skip) P. Skridla, age 71, was born in Rockford, Ill., passed away Dec. 24, 2017. He graduated from Boylan High School in Rockford and worked 27 years at Testors Corporation. David then moved to the Tomahawk/Rhinelander area and owned the Bearskin Inn for five years.

He loved to go fishing, the Chicago Bears, tinkering in the garage with his tools and his many trips to Menards. He loved his three daughters, his grandchildren, and his significant other, Cheryl.

He is survived by his siblings, Patricia (Bob) Green and Stephan (Sarah) Skridla; significant other, Cheryl Cummings; his daughters, Joann (George) Beltz, Jennifer (Brent) Smith and Julie (Alex) Ruiz; Cheryl’s sons, Michael (Christina) and Kenneth Czoschke; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his previous wife, Patricia (William) McGuire; and many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Skridla and Joyce McKiski; and a nephew, Mike Green. At David’s request, no funeral service will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
