GIRLS BASKETBALL: Hodags hammer Ashland, 59-16

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

The Rhinelander High School varsity girls basketball team outscored Ashland 36-2 in the second half Tuesday when the Hodags won their non-conference road game, 59-16.

RHS was led by Ally Seefeldt with a game-high 24 points with Kenedy Van Zile also scoring in double figures with 10 points.

The win improved the Hodags’ overall season record to 4-1 overall going into Friday’s Great Northern Conference home game against Lakeland Union High School.

Ashland            14            2 – 16

Hodags: Kenedy Van Zile 10, Ally Seefeldt 24, Payton Van Zile 2, Brooke Mork 8, Molly Wagler 2, Maddie Meyer 3, Ericka Jorgensen 2, Marissa Martin 6. 3-pointers: Seefeldt. Free throws: 10-22. Fouls: 14.
