HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASTICS: Hodags 7th at Wisconsin Rapids Classic

The Rhinelander High School gymnastics team opened its season Saturday when the Hodags placed seventh out of eight teams at the Wisconsin Rapids Classic.
River Falls had the top team score of 136.9, followed by West Bend West (133.325), Stevens Point (132.7), Eau Clare Memorial/North (127.95), Waterford (124.95), Antigo (120.9), RHS (117.4) and Wisconsin Rapids (99.925).
The Hodags’ only top-10 finish in the four individual events was recorded by senior Stephanie Kuester, who placed sixth in the uneven bars with a score of 8.0. Kuester also finished ninth in the all-around competition with a score of 32.175.
RHS returns to action this coming Saturday when it hosts an invitational meet.
