Rhinelander Swim Club competes in FAST Pentathlon

Antonuk, Miljevich earn high-point trophies

The Rhinelander Swim club competed last weekend in the FAST Pentathlon at Ladysmith, an invitational where swimmers raced in five events, one of each stroke along with a 100-yard Individual medley.
RSC’s Austen Slette, 7, was a first-time competitor for this meet, where the top finishers in each age group took home a high-point trophy and the top-five finishers in each race brought home a medal.

Jack Antonuk, 13, and Ella Miljevich, 8, each earned the high-point trophy in their respective age groups for the club.
RSC swimmers who brought home medals from the meet included, by name, age, place and event:
Jack Antonuk, 13, first, 50 backstroke, 50 breaststroke, 50 butterfly, 50 freestyle and 100 Individual medley.
Daniel Gillingham, 13, fourth, 50 backstroke and 50 freestyle; fifth, 50 butterfly and 100 Individual medley.
Dean Gillingham, 7, first 100 Individual medley; second 25 butterfly and 25 freestyle; third, 25, backstroke.
Emma Houg, 9, third, 25 butterfly.
Abigale Johnson, 12, fourth, 25 freestyle.
Vivian Lamers, 9, second, 25 butterfly; third, 25 breaststroke.
Rylee Mickevicius, 8, first, 25 butterfly; second 100 Individual medley.
Ella Miljevich, 8, first 25 backstroke, 25 breaststroke, 25 freestyle and 100 Individual medley; second 25 butterfly.
Samson Shinners, 10, first, 100 Individual medley; second, 25 backstroke, 25 butterfly and 25 freestyle; third, 25 breaststroke.
Noelle St. Pierre, 13, third, 50 breaststroke; fifth, 50 freestyle and 100 Individual medley.
The club has a short break from competition and returns to the pool to host the first conference meet of the season Dec. 2.
