STAR JOURNAL REPORT

The Kiwanis Club of Rhinelander donated more than $3,000 to provide lighting on the YMCA of the Northwoods’s Stoney Pine Trail.

The underground system will light the trail for the “Not So Scary” Halloween Trail each October and other community trail events. Funds and labor for the original trail were also donated by the Kiwanis Club in a project spearheaded by Kiwanian Hal Berndt. The trail is dedicated to Hal.

Pictured left is Terry Berndt, Hal, Julie Berndt and YMCA community development director Stephanie Ruckheim. All four are Kiwanians.
