Sex offender to be released in Oneida County

The Rhinelander Police Department is notifying the public that a twice-convicted sex offender will be released from the state prison system and returned to Oneida County Sept. 19.
Jason L. Mullen, DOB 4/29/88, will be released to Community Supervision and supervised by agents from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Probation and Parole office in Rhinelander until Sept. 1, 2032. He will be monitored on GPS for life and required to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry, which can be found at www.widociffenders.org.
According to online court system records, Mullen was convicted Nov. 21, 2011 in Oneida County circuit court to an amended charge of 3rd degree sexual assault and sentenced to two years in prison, with 344 days credit, and four years of extended supervision.
Mullen was convicted Feb. 3, 2015 in Oneida County circuit court of 3rd degree sexual assault. Details of that case are sealed by order of Judge Patrick O’Melia.
