STAR JOURNAL REPORT
The Hodag Sports Club recently added four new state-of-the-art pistol ranges to the club’s River Road location, bringing to eight the number of pistol ranges available to club members along with one rifle range.

An $8,000 grant from the Friends of the NRA (National Rifle Association) and $18,600 raised through club fundraising at the annual banquet and big game dinner made the project possible.

The new ranges will be used by the U.S. Practical Shooting Association(U.S.P.S.A.), Cowboy Action, the Olympics Decathalon Shooters and the Rhinelander Police Department. The additional ranges will also enable the Sports Club to hold shooting events at the state and regional levels because they are state of the art in safety and design.

Anyone interested in rifle or pistol shooting who would like to become a member should stop in at Hodag Gun and Loan or Mel’s Trading Post to purchase a membership.
