Committee approves $137,040 bid to repair Courthouse roof
All but $5,000 deductible to be covered by insurance for storm damage
STAR JOURNAL REPORT
Oneida County’s Buildings and Grounds Committee approved a bid Monday from Oneida Roof and Chimney to repair storm damage on the Courthouse roof at a cost of $137,040.
County facilities director Lu Ann Brunette said the company submitted the only bid for the project to repair hail and wind damage that a storm in early April caused to the roof. She noted the storm damage was discovered upon work taking place to the roof area above the courthouse elevator.
Except for a $5,000 deductible, she said the county’s insurance coverage would be paying for the repair work, which will be performed by the company this year.
