Obituary: James R. Trask

James “Jim” R. Trask, age 75 of Rhinelander, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at his home.  He was born Oct. 29, 1941, in Worcester, Mass. to Francis and Edna (Cary) Trask.

Following high school graduation, Jim served in the Army.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Trask of Rhinelander; three children, Michele (Vance) Blahnik of Eden Prairie, Minn., Jim (Cheryl) Trask of Rothschild, and Gayle (Mark) Knaack of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Trask of Georgia, JoJo (Howard) Beaudreau of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jennifer (Mark) Foley of Wrentham, Mass.; a brother, Jack (Elaine) Trask of Worcester, Mass.; step siblings; nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, June Johnson.

A memorial gathering will be planned for a future date in Weston; details will be announced when available. (Carlson Funeral Home
