Obituary: Marylyn Shampo

Marylyn V. Shampo, age 84 of Rhinelander, died Thursday, July 27, 2017, at her home surrounded by family. She was born June 23, 1933, in Laona to George and Violetta (Lemke) Kimball.

Marylyn is survived by her children, Diane Smith of Rhinelander, June (Mike) Spierings of Kimberly, Georgia (Robert) Krueger of Sheboygan, Jackie (Ken Carr) Crain of Little Chute, Lisa (Scott Childress) Clark of Ariz., Martin (Erica) Shampo of Texas; 18 grandchildren;  46 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara (Duncan) McRae of Rhinelander, and  Ila (Adrian) Turgeon of Rhinelander; one brother, Kenneth (Jackie) Kimball, of Green Bay; two sisters-in-law, Char Kimball and Pat Kimball, both of North Fond du Lac, and a brother-in-law, Tom Young of Appleton; nieces, nephews,  other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; one great-great-grandson, four brothers, and one sister.

A celebration of life will be held at noon, Monday, July 31 at the Hodag Park boat landing, followed by a memorial dinner at 1 p.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date. (Hildebrand Funeral Home)
