STAR JOURNAL REPORT

The Rhinelander High School wrestling team recorded wins in nine of the 14 matches Tuesday night when the Hodags were victorious at home in their Great Northern Conference dual meet opener over Tomahawk, 50-30.

Of the nine contested matches, RHS won six with four of those victories decided on pins recorded by Isabella Anderson (113), Reuben Guzik (120), Scott Fox (170) and Alec Bess (182). The Hodags’ other two contested victories were won on major decisions by Tyler Olson (126) and Eric Grulke (160).

Of the five matches decided by default, RHS was awarded forfeit victories in three of those.

The Hodags return to action Saturday with a meet at Shawano.
