BOYS BASKETBALL: Hodags down Oredockers, 43-35

The Rhinelander High School varsity boys basketball team led by as much as 18 points in the first half and held on Tuesday for a 43-35 home victory over Ashland.
The Hodags ended up with nine players scoring points, but none in double figures. Reeve Craig scored nine points, Brad Comer added eight points and Brock Lieder put in six more as the team’s top-three scorers.
RHS shot 14-49 (28.6 percent) from the field overall and 3-25 (12 percent) from 3-point range while also going 12-20 (60 percent) from the charity stripe.
The Hodags, who evened their overall season record to 2-2, return to action Friday at Northland Pines.
