BOYS BASKETBALL: Hodags trail big early, lose at Wisconsin Rapids

The Rhinelander High School varsity boys basketball team fell behind by double digits in the first half en route to losing a non-conference game Friday at Wisconsin Rapids, 54-43.
The Hodags, who trailed 28-16 at intermission, had only one player score in double figures with Matthew Reinthaler tallying a team-high 17 points, which included four 3-pointers. Brad Comer added nine points all on 3-point baskets. Brad Quade scored seven more with Reeve Craig and Bryce Schickert recording five points each.
RHS shot at the 30-percent mark by going 15-50 from the field overall and 9-30 from 3-point range.
The loss dropped the Hodags’ season record to 1-2 going into Tuesday night’s home game against Ashland.
