Rhinelander Trig’s store wins display contest

2015 Fat Bob Harley Davidson motorcycle will soon be on the auction block at the Rhinelander Trig’s store. The motorcycle was presented by the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association (WPVGA) to the store Monday for its outstanding Wisconsin potato promotion last month.
“I’ve been working with local farmers, potato farmers, apple orchards, tomato farmers since I started my career at age 15,” said store director, Don Theisen. “Working with these people, these farmers is like working with family.”
The Harley is the top prize in a contest sponsored by the WPVGA. Theisen said the store will put the bike up for auction and will donate the money raised to Wisconsin charities. The Challenge Academy, an alternative program for at-risk youth, will be one of the recipients; the store’s customers will vote to select the other.
“The team at Trig’s went above and beyond the call of duty to showcase Wisconsin potatoes to their customers,” said Dana Rady, director of promotions for WPVGA. “Besides designing a display in the produce department, they used various point-of-purchase materials from their Wisconsin potato supplier, handed out healthy potato dish recipes and held a coloring contest for kids.”
