OBITUARY: Lola Rose Kuski
Lola Rose Kuski, age 85 of Rhinelander, died Sunday, Nov.20, 2016, at her home. She was born Dec. 2, 1930, in Rhinelander to Donald and Gladys (Bloomquist) Godleske.
Lola married James Kuski on Oct. 13, 1951, in Three Lakes. Together, they owned and operated Wisconsin Sheet Metal in Rhinelander for many years. Lola was a dedicated wife and mother to her five children and later a loving grandmother to grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and then Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Lola enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and also enjoyed reading and drawing.
Lola is survived by her five children, Barbara (Gary) Plouff of Presque Isle, Jean (Fletcher) Lee of Kenosha, Anne (Tony) Cirilli of Rhinelander, Tim (Jeanne) Kuski of Mosinee and Steve (Tammy) Kuski of Rhinelander; eight grandchildren, Jordan and Peyton Lee, Robert and Joseph Cirilli, Craig and Maggie Kuski, and Jamie and Stephanie Kuski; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger Godleske of Eagle River; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James on Aug. 2, 2000.
The funeral mass for Lola will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church / St. Mary’s site with Father Randy Knauf officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of mass on Saturday at the church. Interment will follow in Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial will be established in Lola’s name and contributions may be directed in care of her family.
