OBITUARY: Lonny Huebner

Lonny Huebner, age 59 of Rhinelander, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. He was born Mar. 19, 1957 in Rhinelander to John and Maryjane (Arndt) Huebner.

Lonny was a 1976 graduate of Rhinelander High School. He was employed at Twist Drill and U.S. Stick. He was employed in construction where he installed fiber optic cable until 2014. Lonny proudly served the Town of Pelican as their fire chief for 23 years. He operated his own woodworking shop where he constructed shelving and cabinets. Lonny enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his children, Lonny John “L.J.” Huebner of Rothschild, Tiffany Huebner (Shane Buelow) of Rhinelander and Whitney Huebner (Chris Roddy) of Lake Tomahawk; four grandchildren, Lexi and Mikayla Huebner and Xavier and Drayvin Buelow; and longtime friend, Gwen Wanty of Rhinelander. Also surviving are two brothers, Lenny (Diane) Huebner of the Town of Texas, Ricky Huebner of Rhinelander; three sisters, Kathy (Randy) Lunde of Mesa, Ariz., Sandy (Walter) James of Conyers, Ga., and Jody (Brian) Cunningham of Wausau. Lonny is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Maryjane Huebner; maternal and paternal grandparents; one nephew, Travis Lunde and step-father, Charles Barnett.

The visitation for Lonny will be held on Monday, Nov. 21, at the Hildebrand Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service. Chaplain John Uhlarik will be officiating. Interment will take place at Forest Home Cemetery. In honor of Lonny, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
