Nicolet College Recruit Academy celebrates grads

Twelve ready to start law enforcement careers

A dozen recruits recently completed Nicolet College’s Law Enforcement Recruit Academy. Each is now certified by the Wisconsin Department of Justice to work in law enforcement in the state. The 720-hour program included a mix of classroom and hands-on scenario training to give students the skills necessary to respond safely and effectively to a multitude of different situations.

The 2016 graduating class, along with their instructors, are, first row, left to right, instructor Michael Murray; Quentin Hoffmeister, Mercer; Alexis Meier, Winchester; Justin Wittenburg, Oshkosh; Kristine Towne, Rhinelander; Jonathan Kroll, Rhinelander; Graham McFarland, Arbor Vitae; instructor Justin Bender; back row, instructor Glenn Schaepe, instructor Brad Fogerty, Academy Director Tim Gerdmann, Zachery Kozisek, Minocqua; Brett Daggett, Cottage Grove; Kodi Pirkel, Watertown; Jake DeFiore, Birnamwood; Michael Krich, Lake Tomahawk; James Jezeski, Crandon; instructor Phil Schmidt and instructor Dale Knapp.
