OBITUARY: Thomas L. “Tom” Beyer
Thomas L. “Tom” Beyer of Eagle River passed away Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 at the age of 71, after a battle with cancer while under the care of hospice with his loving wife by his side. He was born Sept. 16, 1945 to Henry and Elizabeth (Murphy) Beyer in Shreveport, La., being their only child. When Tom was about six months old they moved to Albert Lea, Minn. After a few years there they moved to Bismarck, N.D. where his father ran a local hotel. Tom graduated from Bismarck High School in 1963, where he was a member of the swim team, exceeding in diving. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served for five or six years. Later on, Tom moved to Wisconsin where he met and married the love of his life, Judy Clark on June 3, 1978. He loved golfing, was the co-owner of Lake Forest golf and fitness in Eagle River and had a love of cars.
Tom is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy (Clark) Beyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. with Mother Meredyth Albright officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church located at 39 S Pelham St., Rhinelander.
