OBITUARY: Christopher “Chris” Quandt

Christopher “Chris” Quandt, age 54 of Sugar Camp, passed into the arms of our Lord on Oct. 14, 2016, at his home. He was born on Jan. 20, 1962, in El Paso, Texas to Glenn and Patricia (Johnson) Quandt.

Chris grew up in Milwaukee and moved to Sugar Camp in 1989.  There, he worked as an auto body/collision repair and paint technician, eventually operating his own repair business.  He had been a member of the Sugar Camp Fire Department, the Eagle River Jaycees, and participated in bowling and softball.

Chris is survived by his mother, Patricia Quandt Ulsberger of Sugar Camp; a sister, Patricia “Patty” Quandt of Madison; two brothers, William (Deborah) Quandt of Oshkosh and Joseph (Nicole) Quandt of Madison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Quandt in 1968 and his step father, Tony Ulsberger in 1993.

A service of remembrance for Chris will take place at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) in Rhinelander.  Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
