Credit Union strives to be accessible

STAR JOURNAL REPORT
The downtown Streetscape road construction project has required some extra thinking on the part of businesses and patrons over the spring and summer. How to get from point A to point B sometimes involved phone calls and maps.

Park City Credit Union is one business that has made adjustments throughout the street upgrade process. Located at 151 S. Courtney St., PCCU is surrounded by several streets in the mix.
“We extend lobby hours if we need to close the drive up lanes,” said Branch Manager Sidney Ring. “We can be accessed off Anderson and Courtney Streets.”

Ring said they are also featuring promotions during construction season. “Bring your checks in from another financial institution and we’ll buy them from you for up to $15. Plus anyone opening a new checking account gets their first box of checks from PCCU free.”

“We are a credit union, meaning we are not-for-profit,” Ring explained. “Each person who has a savings account with us is a member-owner of the credit union. We return our profits to the members through lower loan interest rates because we don’t have shareholders.”

PCCU provides a variety of financial services, and Ring added they are “very dedicated to helping members reach their financial goals,” as well as serving the Rhinelander Community. Visit the company’s website, ParkCityCU.org for more information, or call 715-369-2200.
