Master Gardeners announce fall programs

Master Gardeners of the North are offering free educational gardening programs beginning this fall. The first session is Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Oneida County Senior Center in Rhinelander. It will feature a video presentation by gardening expert Melinda Myers and there will be time for discussion.
Attendees will learn about saving seeds and seed libraries at the Oct. 18 program. Master Gardener volunteers Debra Ketchum Jircik and Nan Andrews with the Olson Memorial Library will talk about the seed library in Eagle River.
The program series concludes Nov. 15 when Rob Zimmer will speak about new plants for 2017 and gardening trends. Zimmer is an award-winning nature and gardening writer.
