Oneida County man arrested for accidental shooting

A 25-year old Nokomis man was arrested early this morning after reportedly accidentally shooting himself in the hand and also injuring another person. According to an Oneida County Sheriff’s Office report, Timothy Evenson accidentally shot himself and a 46-year old female at the residence with a hand gun. Both were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the shooting approximately 1 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies arrested Evenson for intoxicated use of a firearm, second degree recklessly endangering safety and endangering safety by reckless use of a firearm.
