GIRLS TENNIS: Hodags down Raiders, 6-1

RHS now 6-0 overall in team play

STAR JOURNAL REPORT

The Rhinelander girls tennis team recorded its sixth victory of the season in as many team matches after winning Tuesday at Medford, 6-1.

All four of the Hodag singles players were victorious as RHS crushed the Raiders by winning 48 of the 49 total games played in the combined eight sets.

The 6-0 Hodags are scheduled to return to action Thursday at Stevens Point Area High School.

Singles

No. 1 – Ivy Packard, RHS, def. Mariah Leader, 6-0, 6-0; No. 2 – Kristina Jacobson, RHS, def. Emma Schultz, 6-1, 6-0; No. 3 – Belinda Weddle, RHS, def. Kailee Mann, 6-0, 6-0; No. 4 – Alex Oestreich, RHS, def. Charity Pester, 6-0, 6-0.

Doubles

No. 1 – Rylee Anderson-Emily Shipman, M, def. Ali Schickert-Erica Counter, 7-5, 6-3; No. 2 – Hannah Stroede-Katie Krueger, RHS, def. Karlee Batchelder-Megan Payne, 6-1, 6-1; Livie Roberts-Haley Seefeldt, RHS, def. Lauryn Strick-Elaine Schumacher, 6-3, 6-0.
