New School District of Rhinelander employees welcomed

STAR JOURNAL REPORT
When students in Rhinelander head back to class for the 2016-2017 school year, they may see some new faces at the head of the classroom. The district, along with Rhinelander Partners in Education (PIE) and the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce, welcomed new staff Aug. 22 for an orientation that included a tour of the city.
The new employees spent the morning learning about School District of Rhinelander procedures and information. The afternoon consisted of a “Welcome to Rhinelander Hodag Pride Grand Tour,” led by representatives from the District, the Chamber, and Rhinelander PIE. Traveling on a bus, the new group visited school buildings, parks and various places of business. During lunch, they were addressed by a variety of community leaders, who provided information while welcoming them to the community.
The first day of school for students is Sept. 1.
