Lake Tomahawk receives bike trail donation
Star Journal Report
The Town of Lake Tomahawk Chair, George DeMet, received a $1,500 donation from the Oneida County Biking and Walking Trails Council (OCBWTC) president Jackie Cody.
“The donation will be used to establish the Lake Tomahawk Trail connecting Lake Tomahawk to the paved Clear Lake State Trail,” DeMet said. “The Town will be upgrading the existing railroad corridor along Highway 47 to accommodate bikers and walkers. This small piece of trail connection is a big benefit to the community of Lake Tomahawk. Our town board is extremely happy to be undertaking this project to benefit local businesses.”
Oneida County Biking and Walking Trails Council is an organization with the mission to create a more walk and bike friendly Oneida County for residents and visitors alike.
