Why I should be your choice for 34th Assembly District
Editor:
We, the people of the Northwoods, deserve better representation in our Wisconsin legislature. If we want someone who is young, energetic, and eager to fight for our district and to represent the values of the people, then I am the right choice. My opponent has not been heard from, has not been seen, and is basically removed from the public eye. I have been out meeting the good people of the

Northwoods because I truly care for our home and our resources, and more than anything, I seek to be your voice in Madison. I want to win this for us! I was born and raised in Lake Tomahawk and am now a teacher and coach, and I serve on the Lake Tomahawk town board as supervisor. I am part of school organizations and community committees, and am a young professional who came back to the area to make things better for our community. It is time for a new mentality in the political arena. Someone with fresh ideas, someone willing to work across the aisle and willing to compromise, with the energy to listen to the people and represent them through meaningful legislation and leadership. The Northwoods needs someone who is pragmatic and practical. I will work with all people no matter their party affiliation. I will do what is in the best interest of the masses and together we will be a strong community once again.

I can and I will be a voice of the people. I’m not here to impose my ideas on anyone else. I’m running because I want to represent the people of the Northwoods and be your voice in Madison. While I’m in office, I will be fighting day and night to solve your problems. I will pick up the phone, I will answer your emails, and I will meet with you to hear what it is I need to be doing for you, the people of the Northwoods. From meeting with all of you and hearing your concerns and opinions, I am proposing ideas that I hope will reinvigorate and revitalize the Northwoods. I know I cannot accomplish lofty goals alone. It will have to be a collective, community effort. I ask for your support in this election. Vote Matt Michalsen August 9 and TOGETHER we will revitalize the Northwoods.
Matt Michalsen, Lake Tomahawk
