Wendy Renee Moritz, age 44, passed away July 20, 2016 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 27, 1971 to parents Tom and Nan Moritz. Wendy attended elementary school at RCC and was a 1989 graduate of Rhinelander High School. She worked many years at Moritz Tires, where she was blessed to work alongside her dad, while pursuing her passion for serving others. Wendy was an avid reader, enjoyed boating, vacationing to the Florida Keys, and cooking and entertaining others. Wendy lived her short life to the fullest and was the happiest in the company of her fun-loving friends. Above all, Wendy will be remembered for her kind heart, generosity and cheerful personality.

Wendy is survived by her son Airman Thomas Fredericks of Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, NC, parents Tom and Nan of Rhinelander; sister Heidi, brother-in-law Jason and niece Annabelle Skurkay all of Faribault, Minn.;  Aunt Victoria (Don) Brown of Eagle Point, Ore.; former husbands and friends Rob Fredericks and Dave Swett both of Rhinelander. Wendy is also survived by special friends, Darci  (Joekai) Danner, Kris Thorsen, Dan Skinner, Randy Henriksen and Mark Kalupa. Wendy was also blessed by the unconditional love of her sweet puppy, Eddie.

Wendy was preceded in death by her Aunt, Bonnie Jersey; her maternal grandparents Wilbur and Vi Pecore;  step grandfather, John Anderson and paternal grandparents, Bob and Fran Moritz.

Wendy’s family would like to thank the Mayo Clinic of Rochester and the Marshfield House of Dove Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion during this difficult time. They would also like to thank the numerous friends who helped Wendy in various ways when she needed them most. “True people are those who choose to walk in when everyone else walks out.”  Wendy was very thankful for those special people.

The family will honor her in a private ceremony and would like to invite all those who knew and loved Wendy to a “Celebratation of her Life” on Saturday, July 30^th beginning at 6:00 at the Pine Harbor Resort 3999 Trails End Road in Rhinelander.
