OBITUARY: Helen Lemmens

Helen Lemmens age 86, died Thursday, July 21, 2016 at her home under the care of hospice and surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 31, 1929 to Elmer and Marie (Wrinkler) Guolee in Harrison.  Helen married the love of her life Albert Lemmens on May 13, 1948.

Helen was a homemaker in her younger years and later worked for A&P as a meat wrapper and also was the head housekeeper at the Holiday Inn. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino and especially loved spending time with her family, they were the world to her. Helen will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Helen is survived by her children; Linda (Harry) Helwig, Lois (Jim) Kegel, Debbie (Rob) Bloomquist and Larry (Jo) Lemmens; her nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Hagen; a brother, Tom Guolee and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her parents; sister, Ramona Gano; brother, Dan Guolee and a special friend, Arland Sparks.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be  11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church with Father Randy Knauf officiating. Burial will take place at Harrison Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home.
