Obituary: John Jacovitch

John Jacovitch, age 86, of Rhinelander, died  May 9, 2016, in Rhinelander. He was born February 8, 1930 in West Virginia to Nicholas and Domnica (Nichitory) Jacovitch. He was the youngest of eleven children. John served in the US Navy during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he began his career as a nuclear physicist. He retired in 1989 and moved to Rhinelander where he has lived since. He married Delores French on July 11, 1987.

John is survived by his wife Delores; his sons ,David (Barbara), Michael and Daniel (Leslie); grandson Christopher; step children, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Peggy Cundiff, seven brothers and three sisters.

Visitation for John will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pembine Memorial Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for John’s family at www.carlsonfh.com. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is handling the arrangements for the Jacovitch family.
