Oneida Co. ATV trails to open soon
The Oneida County ATV/UTV Trail System (as administered by the Oneida County Forestry, Land, & Outdoor Recreation Department) will officially open for the 2016 season 5 p.m., May 13, 2016. This includes the trails maintained by the Oneida County ATV Association in the Town of Enterprise (T35N-R9E) and the Little Rice ATV Riders club in the Little Rice & Lynne townships.
The Enterprise Campground will also open at that time. The Enterprise Campground is located within the Oneida County Forest approximately 11 miles south of Rhinelander on Shingle Mill Road. The campground is also accessible via the Enterprise ATV/UTV trail. There are 11 campsites with grills, fire rings and picnic tables. Restrooms and hand pump wells are also provided. Fees are $10/night per site and payable by self-registration.
The Oneida County Forestry Dept. recommends staying on clearly marked trails. Trails are in early season condition and parts of the trails may be wet. Drivers are reminded to obey all signs and regulations and ride responsibly.
