Driver in fatal November car crash accepts plea

Randall J. Lego, age 21, of Rhinelander, appeared in Oneida County Court April 12 and plead no contest to a charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle.
Lego was driving when his vehicle left the road and struck a power pole in Pine Lake, killing his passenger, 23-year old Jacob R. Juedes of Rhinelander. According to Oneida County authorities, the accident happened approximately 12:20 a.m. Nov. 21, 2015. Charges of homicide by use of a vehicle with prohibited alcohol content and OWI were dismissed.
Lego remains free on bail. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 1.
