Shanda Lee Umbreit, age 65, of Rhinelander died April 7, 2016. She was born June 13, 1950 in Jefferson to Clifford and Maxine (Mazy) (Mitchell) Timm.
Shanda is survived by the love of her life, her husband Robert Umbreit of Rhinelander, the lights of her life, her three sons Monty (Stacy) Timm of Rhinelander, Jacob (Michelle) Barrett of Misawa, Japan, and David Barrett of Rhinelander; the blessings of her life, her three grandchildren, Angie, Shaun and Zeva; her sister, Beverly Kujala of Huntley, Ill. and her brother Larry (Jan) Timm of Fort Atkinson, along with many more family and friends..
Shanda was an amazing woman who loved her life and the people in it. She wore many hats in this life. She was a wife, a mom and a grandma. She was a pool player and an Avon lady, a rock and a confidant. She would be your warrior or your task master, depending on what you needed. She was who you needed when you needed someone. There are so many amazing things to say about this lady, how do you describe her in a few words? Simple… “Anyone who knows Ma, knows Ma”.
We will celebrate the life of this beautiful lady on Saturday April 16 at 3 p.m. at Sammy Jrs., 801 Coon Street in Rhinelander. In keeping with the spirit of who Shanda was and what she wanted, please bring your memories and your laughter and share the good times with all. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) is handling the arrangements for the Umbreit family.
