Obituary: Dorothea Marie Davis

Dorothea Marie Davis, age 69, of Rhinelander, died April 8, 2016 at the Friendly Village, in Rhinelander. She was born on August 27, 1946 in Laona to William and Laura (Lepscier) Yeater. She attended schools in Rhinelander and RHS with the class of 1964.
Dorothea was a resident of Rhinelander for most of her life. After her schooling she was employed first as a waitress, then for Peterson Health Care and finally the Rhinelander School District. She retired from the school district in 2009. She married George Frederick and he preceded her in death in 1975.
Dorothea enjoyed many activities outside of her work. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She enjoyed crafting, collecting dolls and watching the Packers. She was a member of the Lake George Community Club. Anything to do with her grandchildren, especially at Christmas, was Dorothea’s real love.
Dorothea is survived by her daughter Sunnie (Wayne )Nylund of Rhinelander; her sons, Robert Fredericks and Scott Fredericks, both of Rhinelander; Corey (Christina) Fredericks of Wausau and Donald (Bobbie) Bennett of Rhinelander; her grandchildren, Devin, Christopher, Thomas, Jade, Alexys, Chase, Cayleigh and Chloe; her great-grandchild Audrina; her sister Barbara Steinhardt of Rhinelander and her brothers, David (Jesse) Yeater of Appleton and Michael (Teresa) Yeater ; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Sandra Kusay, brother William Yeater and brother-in-law Dale Steinhardt.
Funeral services for Dorothea will be held Wednesday, April 13 at 11 a.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home. Chaplain John Uhlarik will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 and from 10 a.m., until just prior to services Wednesday, all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery. You may leave your private condolences for the Davis family at www.carlsonfh.com. The Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is handling the arrangements for the Davis family.
