Obituary: James “Jim” R. Moyer

James “Jim” R. Moyer, age 81 of Rhinelander, died Saturday, April 2, 2016, at his home.  He was born October 29, 1934, in Rhinelander to Adrian and Bernice (Leapline) Moyer.

Jim graduated from Rhinelander High in 1952. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Korean War.  Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Rhinelander where he was employed by the St. Regis paper mill for over 30 years.  Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed gardening.

Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret Moyer of Rhinelander; four daughters, Linda Raddatz of Tomahawk, Carolyn (Bill) Cook of Tomahawk, Lori (Ken) Angell of Green Bay, and Brenda (John) Key of Howard; son James (June) Moyer of Rhinelander; eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian and Bernice Moyer and two sisters, Caren and Carol Moyer.

A private family memorial service for Jim will be held. Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414 / www.carlsonfh.com) is assisting Jim’s family with arrangements.
